  • @settee subagents are they key to managing the main/primary context window. main chat does orchestration only. ideally even keeping planning out of it. i’m not sure yet how opus 4.6 performs now with bigger window but with 4.5 this was the case for sure.

  • @settee the Max 5x for $100 /m is the sweet spot for me. The problem now thou is when I start hitting my weekly limits on Tuesday and resets on Thursday. I’m not sure i’ll ever upgrade to the $200 plan cause I can use other models with Opencode or Zed, then use Opus Agents I have as quality control.

  • @llbbl.blog I feel like it’s more a direct competition to cursor market share or some weird attempt at solving for claude desktop direction.

  • @llbbl.blog I mean, I appreciate that they went through the effort of building what looks like a Swift app instead of yet another VS Code fork or Google who chose violence and decided on also bundling electron for Antigravity.

  • @llbbl.blog I got OpenCode hooked up to OpenAI OAuth though and… I think I’m likely just to use that till free time is over, since i’m feel much better about flat fee instead of cost per token billing.

  • @llbbl.blog Signed up for a free month trial of chatgpt plus thou. going to try a couple more times before my trial is up.

It doesn’t feel like a force multiplier like Claude Code or Amp Code or even Open Code.

I don’t know, maybe I’ll have better luck with the codex on the CLI?

  • @nicolas.dubien.me Yeah, probably something to do with the Claude harness deciding to use it based off the code structure.

  • @nicolas.dubien.me it’s you. not consistent for me. maybe depends on codebase or your claude-md files?
